A tranquil menu bar productivity app for macOS. Stay focused, earn XP, level up your day.
Requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later
Click the download button above. Open the downloaded TaskGo-1.0.0.dmg file and drag TaskGo!.app to your Applications folder (or anywhere you like).
macOS may show a warning saying "TaskGo! can't be opened." This is normal for apps distributed outside the Mac App Store. To allow it:
Option A (easiest): Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click "Open Anyway" next to the TaskGo! message. Then try opening the app again.
Option B (Terminal): Open Terminal and run this command:
xattr -cr /Applications/TaskGo!.app
Adjust the path if you placed the app somewhere else. On macOS Sequoia, Option A is recommended.
Double-click the app. A checkmark icon will appear in your menu bar — click it to get started. You only need to do step 2 once.
A floating timer counts down your task. When time's up, it gently bounces and plays a peaceful alarm. Complete or add more time — your call.
Earn 1 XP for every minute of verified work. Level up to 100 with progressively harder milestones. Your productivity, gamified.
Organize tasks into named groups with tabs. "Urgent", "Side Projects", "Errands" — whatever works for your brain.
Set how long each task should take. TaskGo! uses this to run your focus sessions and keep you honest about time.
One click to open, one click to add a task. No dock icon, no window management. It's just there when you need it.
XP verification detects keyboard and mouse activity — never what you type. Your work is verified, your privacy is protected.
Click the menu bar icon, add tasks with names, descriptions, and time estimates. Organize them into groups.
A floating timer appears on screen. It starts counting down from your first task's time estimate.
Complete tasks, earn XP, and watch yourself level up. The timer auto-advances to the next task when you're done.
See your level grow, track your weekly XP, and know exactly how productive you were.
TaskGo! turns your daily work into a progression system. Every minute of real work earns you XP. How high can you level?
